A Great Gift
If you are at the church early on any given Sunday morning, chances are that you will hear laughter coming from downstairs. Yes, it is the women's Sunday School group. And they are laughing ... again.
If you are looking for a structured study of the Bible, this isn't it. This is more of a fellowship/support group that loves to dig into the Word.
We come from different backgrounds and live our lives in different arenas, but here is where we come together to discover that we are not that different after all. We are united by a deep love for the Lord and a strong desire to honor Him with our lives.
Here is where we come to admit that we don't have it all together. That we fall on our faces and struggle to be who we know we are called to be. Funny how in the process of being real, we find joy. Lots of it!
We laugh together and we cry together. We support, encourage and challenge one another. We share insights and help one another understand the Word and how to apply it to our daily walk. And we pray for one another.
I am deeply thankful for this group of women. Each and every one of them is a gift and an inspiration to me. Their influence strengthens me. Their example challenges me. Their love supports me.
Together we have discovered one of the greatest gifts our Lord has given
us ... each other.
