Home > Newsletter > By His Grace An Amazing DestinyBlank. Absolutely nothing to say, nothing to give, nothing to contribute. Have you ever felt that way? I have. Probably more often than I'd care to admit. But just as I am ready to say I'm on empty, the Lord reminds me that He isn't. And He never will be. That is one of the things I love most about Him. He is a never ending source of beauty and wisdom and knowledge, and we will spend eternity getting to know Him! One joyful discovery after another. Awe on top of awe. It almost makes me wish this world would end right now. I used to think that God would spend most of His time with the "biggies" in heaven, you know, Abraham, Moses, David... And I should be content with just being there. But I couldn't help but wish for some of His time. One day He asked me, "Do I have time for you now?" "Oh, yes, Lord. You are there whenever I need You." "Maria, how many Christians are there in the world today?" "I don't know... thousands, probably mil.." I couldn't finish the sentence. I suddenly realized that it doesn't matter how many of us there are. He is infinite! He is with each and every one of us as if no one else existed. And if it is like this on earth, despite the barriers that sin has built, imagine in heaven! Absolute, perfect, uninterrupted communion with the God of the universe! I realized then that an amazing destiny awaits us ... and I could almost see the twinkle in His eye. -Maria Lund |
