We surpassed our 150 shoebox goal .. filling 161 shoeboxes !

Each year the congregation gathers together toys and essentials to donate to children in poor countries around the globe. The wrapped shoeboxes of goodies are donated to Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child for distribution.

We are having a Shoebox Packing Party on November the 21st from 11 to 2 with lunch served at 11:00. It was really a lot of fun last year and is sure to be again this year. Suggested items to bring:

crayons
coloring books
tennis balls
toothbrushes
toothpaste
hard candy
hot wheels
dolls
stuffed animals
socks
underwear
soap
washcloth
combs
books
flip flops (rubber sandals)
shoeboxes and christmas wrapping paper

Bring all your items to the church no later than the Sunday before the party, November 15th so I can inventory what we may still need for the party. Arrive at 11:00 am for lunch on the 21st and led God fill you with the Christmas spirit. It truly is better to give than to receive!

Collection Week is November 16-23 and the Yakima collection site is at Christian Life at 716 N 40th Ave Phone 248-2015

If you would like to volunteer at the central collection point for the Yakima Valley, Just call Christian Life call the church 248-2015.
