2010 Vacation Bible School
THE CHRISTIAN OLYMPICS ~ "Going for Gold - Going with God"
Sunday June 13th - Thursday June 17th
6:30 - 8:30 PM Kindergarten - 6th grade
Join us for the “pre-Olympic Celebration” for VBS
Sunday, June 13th at 5:30 PM we will be having a BBQ to kick off the opening ceremonies at 6:30. Come early, eat a hot dog, check out the Olympic Village, and meet the coaches and trainers. Parents are welcome to stay in the Olympic Village and visit or come along and join the fun!
Each night of VBS we will:

Sing with “WHY Worship” the high school worship band.

Visit Oly Anne, world famous Christian calisthenics trainer.

Make a prayer book, Frisbee, banner, t-shirt, and medal.

Play group games, challenges, and run obstacle courses.

Enjoy refreshments in the Olympic Village
There is no cost but we will be collecting a nightly missionary offering to purchase “Bed Nets” to help fight malaria in the Congo in Africa. As in past years,if we can collect $100.00 during the five days of VBS there will be a special activity on the last night!

At VBS 2009 - We traveled to Trinity a town in the Old West this Summer for VBS. Here we discovered Jesus the son, God the Father, and the Holy Spirit...Yep pardner you guessed it ... Trinity is a Holy Ghost town! Citizens of Trinity are cow pokes 4 years old up to any one who just completed 5th grade. Every citizen of Trinity wears a cowboy hat, and a tin star. A hootin' hollerin' good time is had by all.
VBS at Wiley Heights Covenant begins on the first Sunday night after West Valley School lets out for the summer. It runs from 6:30 - 8:00 pm, Sunday through Thursday. VBS is directed each year by our Director of Youth and Family Ministries Sherrin Melcher, and staffed by adults and junior high school and high school youth of Wiley Heights Covenant Church.
